It is with a heavy heart and much sadness that the Women's
Community Center of San Luis Obispo County announces the
passing of one of our very long term board members and dear friend, Jan Potter.
There are not many people in our county that do not know Jan,
as her service to our community was deep and extensive.
She was a docent at the Mission, a volunteer at the elementary
schools, (dressed as an 1800’s schoolmarm).
Jan was a valuable member of the board of directors of the
Women’s Community Center for many, many years.
She also served on the board of the Commission on the Status of
Women where her contributions were also invaluable and will
be sorely missed.
The family of Jan Potter has planned a service this
Saturday, January 12th at 2pm at
St. Barnabas Church in Arroyo Grande.
